A leading trade publication has reviewed Mary Beth Chapman’s CHOOSING TO SEE. From a tough editorial staff, it’s a stellar review! Wow!

Choosing to SEE: A Journey of Struggle and Hope
Mary Beth Chapman. Revell. (288p) ISBN 978-0-8007-1991-3

Chapman, wife to singer/songwriter Steven Curtis Chapman, tells the story of her life and loss in this tender memoir. Chapman discloses how unsuited she is to be the public figure spouse to a charismatic and outgoing husband. Marrying him totally upset her orderly mental image of a quiet life in the suburbs with a 9 to 5 working husband. Instead, she discovered that God gave her a life she didn’t expect that has taken her places she didn’t want to go. As Chapman tells it, fame, travel, and adoption of children took this quiet woman out of her comfort zone more times than she cares to remember. In 2008, the tragic death of their five-year-old daughter, Maria, led to still more inner heartache. The Chapmans’ story is harrowing and deeply sorrowful, yet the author finds a way to communicate their hope, faith, and love for a faithful God in every moment by grace-infused moment. (Sept.)

I’m told that the Baltimore, MD show of the tour will likely sell out on Monday or Tuesday (less than 100 seats remain)  So where ever you are… could I ask you to act now on buying tickets for the A NIGHT WITH THE CHAPMANS tour?

I know we’re all still in the back to school, get back in to the routine, and the malaise of end of summer right now, but I’m telling you for your good and mine… don’t wait.  For your good, I don’t want you to miss the show and for my good, you dont want me stressing over if anyone is coming. It’s win win.  :-)  Seriously, though, please  :-)  Act now.  Here’s the handy link.

Chuckling.  Reading our road manager’s advance to the band and crew for a concert trip coming up this weekend.  He specifically notes, “eat at Pappasitos” in the schedule twice.  :-)  They are serious about their road food, aren’t they?  :-)

This also means i will get multiple picture texts from various band and crew members, including the artist himself I’m sure, on said days of them enjoying said restaurant cuisine. Enjoy boys!

Looks like we’ve got the new site stable now. Please be sure to check out the tour video from MBC and SCC! (fun!) And we’d love you to share that on facebook, twitter, your blog, wherever! We’d love your help to get the word out about the tour. Here’s the link! Seriously, you can’t miss this tour if it’s coming anywhere near you. Please, please don’t. It’s going to be a very very special night!

Hope you like the new redesign and you’re enjoying it. I’m still getting used to the new blogging tool (i don’t like changing things I’m comfortable with but…) We’re ramping up the community tab too. If you haven’t been there yet, it’s a very cool technology we hope we connect you more with each other (as well as SCC’s music and ministry.)
