Steven Receives First Ever Rich Mullins Impact Award

This past week the trade group, Christian Music Broadcasters (CMB) honored Steven Curtis Chapman with the first-ever Rich Mullins Artist Impact Award. The award is presented each year to an artist or group to recognize their long-time contributions to the music and ministry of Christian Radio. CMB members nominate artists to be considered for the award.

The Christian Alliance for Orphans presented The Defender of the Fatherless Award to Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife Mary Beth, the founders of Show Hope, an orphan care and adoption non-profit ministry. The Chapmans received the award earlier this month before 2,000 advocates of orphan care and adoption at the Christian Alliance for Orphans' Summit VIII, held at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California.
