Steven, thanks so much for coming to CT last night... We were really in need and you ministered so well. And Marybeth as well. Please thank her from all of us, for adding a mother's voice to the evening. While you performed, it seemed like you sang an "extra" verse to God is God, and I loved it. I'm a worship leader here in CT, and would love to use it, but unless I'm missing something painfully obvious I can't find the lyrics for that 3rd verse... Would you mind sharing them? Thanks again!

Steven, You came to Puyallup, WA to do a concert a few years ago at the state fair, shortly after Maria went home to Jesus. While you were on stage doing warm up, I could see you and hear you from behind the stage area. You were performing this song, and you stopped right in the middle of a phrase and hung your head down. I had my camera out to get a picture of you warming up, and the picture I have has your head hung down. I know you were hurting from Maria. I started to cry, and I cried all through the concert, which was dedicated to Maria's memory. You hadn't released the album dedicated to her yet, these were just songs from the past that brought it all together for you and your family. It was so beautiful. But you didn't sing this song. I know it was too hard for you, and my heart just ached for you. I still cry every time I hear that song, remembering all of that. It has always been one of my favorites of yours. My heart and prayers are still with you and your family. Thank you for sharing with us through all of it. I can't wait to meet you all -- including sweet Maria -- in God's big house.

The other amazing connection with this song is 9/11. If I'm correct, I believe the album "Declaration" was actually released on Sept. 11, 2001 - and I know "God is God" became one of those songs that became a rallying cry and anchor for believers over the days and months that followed.

What an amazing song - thanks for a great acoustic version!

Thank you for so many years of humble service! Since 1991 I have followed your ministry and I cannot begin to tell you how God has been God through out my walk. God has used your music and lyrics to teach me, to encourage and comfort me. He has spoken through you and strengthen my walk and brought me closer to Himself through your willing heart to surrender to His calling. As God has inspired you and given to others through your desire to serve Him, God is glorified so much each day! I pray for you, your family and those who work with you regularly. As we press on toward the mark, keeping the faith and doing all we do for His glory, I thank you!

I love this song! There is such a great meaning behind it! You described the fact so perfectly that we cannot see all of the picture of life. What else could we do than trust Him, our healer and comforter!! AMEN
