Show Hope Celebrating Their Ten-Year Anniversary, Preparing for Huge Memorial Day Weekend Celebration

2013 is quite the celebration year for Show Hope. The orphan care and adoption ministry, founded by Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife Mary Beth, celebrates ten years of service. To commemorate this astounding milestone, Show Hope has announced their 10-Year Anniversary Celebration. With two days full of fellowship, food, music, and lots of fun for the entire family, the celebration will be held over Memorial Day weekend at both the Show Hope office in Franklin as well as Lipscomb University in Nashville. Further details are listed below.

Show Hope has had many significant accomplishments since they opened their doors in 2003. They have helped almost four thousand orphans find adoptive families by awarding financial grants, and they have also provided life-giving medical care to over one thousand orphans with special needs. Show Hope currently has four Special Care Centers in China, including their flagship care center Maria’s Big House of Hope, that provide the highest level of medical care for these children. In addition, they have helped lead the charge to advocate for orphan care and adoption awareness as well as save the Adoption Tax Credit. This amazing impact has been made possible thanks to the generosity of tens of thousands of donors and sponsors.

Additionally, Show Hope is working with more artists and musicians such as Andrew Peterson to speak up for orphans, while also producing awareness-raising celebratory events, such as the three-year run of the popular musical event of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, which sold out every year. Show Hope also established the unique college initiative, The Red Bus Project, as well as a program for high school students called The Movement Clubs.

In the past years, Show Hope has also sent hundreds of students, sponsors, and medical professionals on short-term trips to both China and Haiti to directly impact the lives of waiting children. Through their Empowered to Connect Conferences and resources, Show Hope has helped equip thousands of families involved in both adoption and foster care with the tools they need to help bring hope and healing to children from hard places. From reaching millions of people with the call to care for orphans to mobilizing tens of thousands to directly make an impact, Show Hope has a lot to celebrate throughout this anniversary year.
